If someone else has the only ride, the keys, or decides where you're going, it's harder to leave. That's a reason to keep your own way home.
You never have to get into a car, stay in a car, or go to a second place you don't want to go.
With a hired ride, you can:
- check the car and driver match before you get in
- share your trip with someone safe, where that feature is available
- sit somewhere you can exit easily
These are options. They don't guarantee a ride is safe, and you never need them to deserve help.
If a ride changes where it's going, won't stop, or feels wrong: get space when you can, call for help, and you're not alone.
